About the Sizes
PRO-TECT is made in a slim-fit design for maximum protection and comfort for the dog.
It comes in four sizes:
Short/Narrow: Around the chest: 55cm, Length from neck to root of tail: 39cm
Long/Narrow: Around the chest: 57cm, Length from neck to root of tail: 47.5cm
Short/Wide: Around the chest: 59cm, Length from neck to root of tail: 39cm
Long/Wide: Around the chest: 61cm, Length from neck to root of tail: 47cm
The dog must be measured around the chest just behind the front leg. The vest must fit as tightly as possible without squeezing the dog's chest. This is so that the Fir-Skin material can function optimally.
The difference between Wide and Narrow is 4cm in width and based on the measurements of the vest, dogs within plus/minus 3cm will be able to fit the respective size.
That means that a dog:
– between 52-58cm around the chest will be able to fit a Short/Narrow
– between 54-60cm around the chest will be able to fit a Long/Narrow
– between 56-62cm around the chest will be able to fit a Short/Wide
– between 58-64cm around the chest will be able to fit a Long/Wide
Typically, a small cocker spaniel (approx. 8kg) will need a Narrow and a larger cocker spaniel (approx. 12kg) will need a Wide. A Dachshund or Jack Russel would typically be needed for Narrow. But always feel free to measure yourself after your own dog.
Washing instructions: Wash at 30 degrees. Can NOT be tumble dried.
