The new drying coats launched in 2025 have had an updated fit developed from our customers' feedback.

The most important measurement is the back. Measure from the neck to the base of the tail and look at the chart. Here you choose the closest size. If the measurement is in between, choose the smaller size if the dog is slim built and the larger size if the dog is broad-chested or more round in build.

The coat can be a little too long when you try it on the dog, but no worries, it shrinks 5-9cm in the wash. The larger the size, the more shrinkage is possible. See the picture at the end of this page for a visual example. This is already taken into account in the size guide, so you should not size up with this in mind.

You can follow the dog's front legs up to the neck to find the starting point for the back measurement. Use the head and neck measurement to check if your dog can fit in the suit.

The waterproof outer fabric shields against the elements, while the soft bamboo fleece lining reflects your dog's natural body heat back towards the body.

Nordic Shield is the updated version of our Rainforce coat. It features an updated fit developed from feedback from customers who use our products every day.

With an improved fit around the chest and neck, Nordic Shield now suits an even wider range of dog breeds. It also offers enhanced weather protection with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm.

Keep warm and dry in the cold

Nordic Shield is the new and updated raincoat for dogs from Siccaro. With a waterproof outer layer that can withstand up to 10,000 mm water pressure and an inner layer made of bamboo fleece, we have created a warm, soft and functional coat for both light rain and very wet, rainy days.

The bamboo fleece contains woven-in bamboo charcoal fibres that reflect the dog’s own body heat back. This helps keep the dog naturally warm without causing overheating. The soft inner layer also prevents the raincoat from feeling clammy and damp for the dog to wear.

New fit and leash opening options

The Nordic Shield jacket features our 3.0 fit – our newest and best fit, designed to suit the vast majority of dog breeds, from slim to broader builds. It is available in sizes 30–70.

As a new feature, and following your requests, we have added two places where you can cut an opening for the leash yourself. Our previous model had one opening, but now you can choose whether to use the leash with a collar or with a harness further down the back.

All Nordic Shield coats also feature reflective details along the neck, helping your dog stay visible and safer in traffic during darker hours.
