Protective Vest

Protect your dog during training and hunting

The Pro·tect Advanced Vest is made for dogs that eagerly dive into dense brush, thorns, and rough terrain. Designed to combine warmth, durability, protection, and visibility, the vest ensures your dog can stay focused on the hunt – while you stay focused on the target.

Why hunters love the Pro·tect Advanced:

  • Keeps your dog warm and protected in challenging terrain - on land and in water
  • Puncture-resistant against dense undergrowth - now with double layer on chest area
  • Graphite Fir-Skin fibers reflect body heat back to the dog
  • Enhanced safety with a bright orange color for high visibility in brush, at a distance, and during early or late hours
  • Breathable to prevent overheating
  • Durable design for all types of terrain – on land and in water
  • NEW: Prepared lines for cutting a bigger hole for the front leg if needed

How to check the fit

The vest is designed to fit closely to minimize the risk of branches and twigs getting caught while the dog is working in the field. However, the snug fit may sometimes cause wear under the front legs—especially if the dog runs vigorously over longer periods, which is more common in labradors than in spaniels.

It’s a good idea to regularly check under your dog’s “armpits,” particularly if your dog isn’t used to wearing work gear. A proper size and fit reduce the risk of chafing and ensure maximum comfort.

  1. There should be 2 cm of space between the front leg and the vest on each side.
  2. Under the belly, there should also be 2 cm of space between the front leg and the vest on each side.

If there’s less space, there’s a risk that the vest may chafe your dog - in this case use the prepared lines to cut a bigger hole as needed and burn with a lighter to close the cut after.
